ESTP Relationships- Core Elements
The core elements of love and a healthy relationship are trust, respect, attraction, and investment. According to TypeMatch Relationship Dynamics, here is how those elements align for ESTPs:
Trust:
ESTPs trust those that are loyal and reliable and quickly lose trust for those who do not keep their word or whose actions don’t align to what they say. They need to see that their partner is consistent, means what they say, and has a lot of integrity. Additionally, ESTPs trust experience and so are more likely to take the word of someone who has experienced something for themselves.
Respect:
ESTPs respect rational thought above all else. When an ESTP respects someone, they’ll tell them the hard truth of reality because they know the person is strong enough to take it. They are forthright and honest but realize that not many can handle the truth. When an ESTP disrespects someone they view the person as not smart enough to follow their logic train and can become condescending.
Attraction:
ESTPs are initially attracted to people who value them and what they do. Simply put, ESTPs like people who like them. While ESTPs love to feel valued, they are annoyed with people who try to force them to express their feelings or make them try to care about something that doesn’t make sense to the ESTP.
Investment:
When an ESTP decides to be with someone, they invest their future in them. They are extremely loyal and dedicated to making life with the other person happen. They don’t see a future with anyone else, and as a result, if a breakup happens, it can feel for the ESTP like their future was stolen from them. If an ESTP is over someone, they will start to look around at all their other options and appear to move on quickly.
